Steve Smith makes Aadhar card to encash his ‘Man of the Match’ cheque in bank

Pune: The captain of Rising Pune Supergiant, Steve Smith, suffered a huge shock when he came to know that he cannot encash his ‘Man of The Match’ cheque in the bank unless he has an Aadhar Card.
Aadhar Card of Steve Smith
Smith on Thursday scored an unbeaten 84 to guide his team to victory over Mumbai Indians. He was awarded a cheque of Rs. 1 lac for his match winning performance. On Friday morning when he went to his bank, the cashier refused to give him the money stating that cash cannot be given unless the bearer of the cheque has a photocopy of Aadhar card.
An emotional Steve told Faking News, “My brain faded for the second time in 2017 when I heard that I won’t get my hard earned money. And this time, I couldn’t even ask the dressing room members to help me out. How can I possibly have an Indian Identity card if I am a citizen of Australia? But then I found a guy named Babloo outside the bank. He is an agent who makes fake Aadhar cards for just Rs. 500, with some ultra modern technique called Jugaad. I don’t know much about this technique but I wanted that Aadhar card to get my money.”
By Friday afternoon, Babloo handed over an Aadhar Card to Steve Smith, who went to the bank and easily encashed his cheque by providing a photocopy of the card. Apparently, there was no cross-checking whether the card is real or fake. In our investigation we found out that the cashier is a football fan, who hates cricket and doesn’t even know the fact that Steve Smith is an Australian.
If sources are to be believed, PAN card will now be mandatory for betting in IPL games. Many of the bookies have started to apply for PAN cards via Babloo.
